Please, call me Gio!

I am a PostDoc Researcher at the Erasmus School of Economics, and a Senior Associate for the Quantitative Research Group at Ares Management Corporation.

My research interests lie at the intersections of contract theory, corporate finance, market microstructure, and Private equity investment. In particular, I try to understand how manager incentives translate into market prices and the motivations behind the rise of short-term-oriented corporate policies.

I hold a Ph.D. in Finance from the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School. I received a B.S. in Economics from Napoli University, an M.Sc. in Accounting and Finance from Bocconi University, and a Master in Economics and Finance (MEF) from Napoli School of Economics. I also participated in an exchange program with ULB Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management (Belgium) and with the Rotterdam School of Management (The Netherlands).

Before joining Ares Management Secondary Quantitative Research Group, I served Landmark Partners, an Ares Company, in the role of Quant Research Senior Associate. Prior to my Ph.D., I worked in the Asset Management team of Axis Realty Partners, a Real Estate Investment company headquartered in Miami Beach, as an Adjunct Lecturer in Microeconomics and Mathematics at Naples School of Economics and I contributed as a Research Assistant on several projects in Health Economics at CSEF.

Outside of research, my passions include traveling, art, photography, and design. I spend my free time playing guitar and listening to music, drawing, and reading, as well as trying new food and exploring new places.
